I couldn't watch your vlogs since you switched. My QT player is up to date and I dunno if it's just me but it doesn't stream smoothly.

Flash Player 8 does not support H.264 codec. However, Flash Player 9 does support H.264 codec but it haven't been officially released yet (beta). Once it's released, YouTube will adapt to it. Soon we'll be seeing HD quality videos from YouTube!

I can't watch you on my PC (very old) but with my Mac, I click Play, few second stop, click play, few second stop, click play, few second stop, again and again, I gave up click close. I have problem lately since you switch to quicktime. : (

drmzz and Edward Nugent: When you click on play, look at bottom of quicktime controller. You will see white bar and a gray bar will show in the white bar. It is same functional as youtube. Try wait until the white bar turn complete to gray bar. Let me know if you watch my video clear.

colin: Until then I will stick with my way. Youtube have to proof me that they can do HD quality. :)

Jared: That would be double work for me. :) For now, I will stay with blip.tv as my major concern is video quality. Hey, we are deaf that rely on visual and youtube gave me eyeache. :)

However, I understand your perspective on preserve the ASL videos. Last time I check with blip.tv. It is reliable business that they will last long as google and youtube.

I just got my Treo 755p and I can download YOUR movie clip to my pager then I can watch it! While I can't watch video by my prefer at YouTube on my pager (not yet).

Anyone, who already have quicktime in your computer then suggest to check for update as last time I check it's 7.4 version. If you don't have quicktime then go ahead download it because it's FREE software!

If your computer(Microsoft) is oldest than XP then worthless to download it!

I realize I'm a bit late in the game here, but I figured I'd post my comment just the same.

I agree that the quality of Quicktime/H.264 video is much better than YouTube's flash format. It really does seem ideal for sign language videos and the hosting service you've chosen does seem ideal for you because there are no bandwidth limits.

However, you have to remember that many of your readers may have bandwidth caps. I just downloaded two of your videos to watch and they totaled 145MB whereas they could have easily been less than 10MB with the flash format.

Some of your readers may have a 1GB per month cap so if they were to watch 3 or 4 of your videos over a span of a month, those videos would consume 25% of the bandwidth limit.

Maybe you could use both Quicktime and YouTube so that your readers with no caps could watch the high quality video and those with caps could watch the low quality video.

Just a suggestion :)

Thanks for a great vlog!
