Speaking of facial expression, how do you judge this type of facial as constructive or non-constructive criticism ?
I had gotten a few vp calls telling me that I wasn't giving any non-constructive criticism on your previous vlog because they knew me & I am known for being blunt.
Obviously, it takes a few dialogues to understand the true criticism and we will conclude a better judgement.
Between crab theory and crab mentallity? Okay in fact crab theory is kind of hypotheis and mean very ideal, okay now crab mentality the way many people who grow up in cycel of pattern in negative way. For example, your grandfather critized something very harsh then your father thought it was okay, nothing is wrong then he critized in very destructive acceptedly. then you learn to be excat what your father did then you are in cycle of pattern that is what happens to most of us and other minorities have in common! you can critize anything in very intellectual way like your brother explained to you about the sandwich concept I like that that is very simple concep, What you saw the Deaf community about free service. Your opinion is very important, My question what is facial in constructive criticism? I never heard but in your way of expression show very blunt that cause misunderstanding very easily. Advise you to play smart with smile and you can critize at sametime, use foxy as you dance with the view's mentality, then you become successful. I do that at my work I always preach using the fox mean dancing with mentality with understanding neat way.
Definitely! You should vlog to the point that you get your message across and forget about 5 min limit on certain issues. Crab Theory is one of them. Many Deaf are more apt to be in denial but lots of time most don't realize they are doing it! Like Teri mentioned- egotism. That is one thing, then there's pride, etc. Subconciously, maybe, most of don't don't realize it. Not necessarily intentional, ya know?
Plus...Deaf is very expressional in facial expression..could that be one thing that causes others to become defensive? I can see that happening. I'm sure it's happened to the best of us. Public speaking (one course I took years ago) mention expression as a tool to get across favorably to the audience. vlog is better than blog cuz i think there's less misunerstanding yet sometimes ASL gets twisted around..looks like maybe no matter what we do, damn if we do and damn if we don't.
And, I think you did a good job trying to explain it in Vlog..probably better than doing it on blog. I don't have vlog capability, can't find my webcam and I'm not ready to show my face to the world. :)
Support and use ASL!

Heh! I see what you were saying about the attitude on my vcomment.
Believe me, I am already peace with this issue. Thank you!
