Thanks for the shortcut! :) If I get to know a hearing person well enough, I might go into specifics; otherwise, you are right, they seem to get this better than anything else. Weird how we never think of saying that ... when they use that phrase all the time. Not anymore, thanks to you ;)

of course it keeps simple saying rather than having a big deal. It is the best way to say very simple, the more you get the result from someone who asks you silly and answers very excellent simple, Good for you!

I agree its good tip! Just since yesterday, my supervisor asked me when I became deaf and told her that I was born deaf. So, I asked her why she asked me that and told me that she said I speak pretty well. Well, I speak as well since I took speech class during my school years. She thought I was mute and couldnt speak at all.

Interesting! Never thought of that! But, hearing people rarely ask me "Do you can hear?" but they mostly say "Do you can read my lips?"
